Alphabet Cushion Ring

Personalise your ring with your own initials and give it some height for it to 'pop'!

You Will Need

  • Scraps of patterned cloth
  • Cotton stuffing
  • Colored embroidery thread
  • Craft glue
  • Ring band with claws
  • Felt
  • Cardboard

Step 1

Cut out circles of diameter 2.5cm and 3.5cm respectively from the cardboard.

Step 2

Do the same with the fabric, this time with diameter 3.5cm and 4.5cm.

Step 3

Wrap the smaller fabric circle tightly around the smaller cardboard circle and glue it together. This forms the backing for the cushion top.

Step 4

Using a 'running' stitch, sew the rim of the larger fabric circle. Do not end the stitch yet.

Step 5

Place cotton stuffing into the middle of the fabric circle and stack the 3.5cm diameter cardboard circle on top. Pull the running stitch tout and tie a dead knot.

Step 6

Using colored thread, sew your initials on the patterned cloth. Try using a cursive script or a bold black style.

Step 7

Glue the prepared backing to the back of the fabric cushion. Be sure to glue the backing fabric print up, facing the back of the cushion.

Step 8

Attach the completed cushion to the claws of the ring with a needle and thread.
